This new version is larger and more powerful than its predecessor, with a 7.9-inch LCD screen, 1080p resolution, HDR, and a frame rate of up to 120 fps, depending on the game.
Among the improvements are the Joy-Con controllers, which now connect magnetically, feature larger SL and SR buttons, improved analog sticks, and the ability to be used as a mouse thanks to their sensors. A noise-canceling microphone and a 3D sound system have also been added. The rear kickstand has been improved, making it larger and more rigid, and the console will include two USB-C ports, one on the top and one on the bottom.
The Switch 2 will have 256GB of storage and its dock will support 4K gaming. It will also include a fan to optimize performance. Regarding games, backward-compatible titles, exclusives, and others with specific enhancements for this new console have been confirmed. One example is Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, which will offer two performance modes: 4K at 60fps or 1800p at 120fps. Although the price and pre-order date have not yet been revealed, the console promises a revamped and more powerful experience for gamers.
